As Branch Manager for Dakota County Library at Pleasant Hill in Hastings, Julia works with her team, the library system, and partner organizations to provide responsive and engaging services, programs, and experiences to everyone in the community. Previously, she was Youth Programming and Outreach Librarian for Dakota County Library, where she supported branch librarians in delivering excellent youth programs, coordinated marketing and promotion for these programs and led the development and implementation of the annual youth summer reading and learning program. Julia is the President Elect of the Minnesota Library Association and has also served as PLD Chair (2020) and CYP Chair (2018). She was a 2015 participant in MLA Institute for Leadership Excellence (MILE) and co-chair of planning MILE 2017.
